FIRE INVESTIGATIONS

Western Fire Forensics specializes in structure fire investigations of all types and sizes, vehicle fire examinations, including large trucks and heavy equipment used in construction, forestry, and agriculture. Marine fires and wildland fires are also within our scope of expertise. Robert Eyford has 51 years of investigation experience, including law enforcement, independent insurance adjusting, insurance fraud, and fire investigation. He has devoted 34 years solely to fire investigation and has been court qualified as an expert on numerous occasions in BC and Alberta Provincial and Supreme Courts He has extensive experience as a trainer/presenter in many areas of investigation and fire related subjects.

LITIGATION AND LEGAL REPORTS

A wide variety of experience over many years has provided us with the expertise to analyze fire reports prepared by fire departments and private fire investigators with a clear and concise professional critique of those fire reports. Rebuttal reports based on those reports can be a valuable asset preparatory to court proceedings.

TRAINING

The following training modules were developed by us and are based on many years of experience in the investigation industry. Training modules include the following subjects: Fraudulent Fires, Scene Preservation and Spoliation of Evidence, Reducing the Costs of Fire Claims (for insurance companies), Processing Fire Scenes, and The Scientific Methodology of Investigation.
